RESEARCH INTEREST
Evolution of acoustic communication in animals, trade offs between design and function of acoustic signals, organization of song variation in birds, conventional signalling. Species of interest: buntings, especially Emberiza hortulana, E. citrinella, E. calandra; Corncrake Crex crex. I also participated in research on pipits (Anthus trivialis and A. campestris), skylark (Alauda arvensis), Double-collared Northern Sunbird (Cinnyris reichenowi), and some warblers: Acrocephalus paludicola and A. arundinaceus.
